Avocado Exhibit Educator

Temporary Position – San Diego County Fair (June 10 – July 5)

Heal the Earth is managing an interactive avocado exhibit in the Garden Section at the San Diego County Fair, and we’re looking for enthusiastic, outgoing individuals to join our team.

In this role, you’ll engage directly with fair attendees, sharing insights about local farming with a focus on San Diego’s avocado growers. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys connecting with people, storytelling, and promoting sustainable, local agriculture.

What You’ll Do:

• Interact with the public in a friendly, engaging way
• Educate visitors about local farming and avocado production
• Help create a welcoming, memorable experience at the exhibit

Who You Are:

• Interested in agriculture, sustainability, or local food systems
• Comfortable speaking with a wide range of people
• Energetic, reliable, and able to work independently

Details:

• Dates: June 10 – July 5 (Fair is closed Mondays and Tuesdays)
• Location: San Diego County Fairgrounds
• Compensation: $30/hour + free entry into the fair and parking
• Training will be provided
